Care Community connects aged home care workers with providers across Western Australia

Care Community is The Home Care Workforce Support Program in Western Australia. It is a project by the Federal Government to help connect people with jobs in aged home care, so it is free to participate.

We are here to attract new people to work in Home Care. Home Carers help older Australians live well in their homes and stay connected to their community.

North Metropolitan TAFE is proud to lead the Home Care Workforce Support Program in Western Australia, in partnership with South Metropolitan TAFE.

Our goal is to grow and upskill 1,400 skilled home care workers by March 2024, including an increase in diversity of gender, culture, language, age and regionally located staff.

Attract 1,400 Personal Care Workers into work placements across WA

Regular contact and relationship development with 80% of the approved providers of Home Care across WA

Retention of Personal Care Workers in the sector at 3, 6 and 12 months post-employment commencement
